The Town of Hollywood Park requires permits for a variety of projects, for example Building Projects, Tree Trimming/Cutting, Septic System Installation. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to obtain the appropriate permit prior to beginning any project within Hollywood Park, of course the Homeowner must also ensure the vendor they hired has obtained the proper permit from City Hall before starting work on their property. If you are unsure if a permit is required for an upcoming project, please review the City Ordinances section of this website or call City Hall at 210-494-2023 ext. 239 for further information.
BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Permits are issued at the Town of Hollywood Park City Hall during normal operating hours.
Click Here for a sample permit application. You must come in to city hall to pull a permit. You will not be able to submit a building permit electronically. If you are a vendor we will need to see your drivers license and your tradesman license for HVAC, Plumbing and Electric along with a copy of your company insurance. It is required for the company or individual doing the actual work at a business or residence to pull the permit. We will need dimensions, type of building materials used, set back measurements, etc. to process your permit without delays.
The completed application, floor plans, or other supporting documentation are to be submitted to City Hall for review by the Building Inspector. We will accept large plans in the form of a USB port, the largest paper form we will accept is the legal paper size. Upon inspector approval, the Contractor will be notified of the cost of the permit and will be issued upon receipt of the appropriate fees. Our Building Inspectors do not have offices located at City Hall. Needed inspectons are called into City Hall by your contractor or vendor and scheduled daily for the inspectors. The building inspectors ARE NOT AUTHORIZED to call you or meet you at your property to inform you how to do repairs or remodel your property. The building inspectors CANNOT make recommendations concerning you plans you have submitted. The inspector only has the authority to approve or decline your submitted plans to ensure you are in compliance with the Hollywood Park Code of Ordinances.
If you fail to obtain a permit, you can “be fined a sum not to exceed $2,000.00 for each violation. Each and every day of violation shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable accordingly.” (Sec.14-58)
