• Commercial Tree trimmers and homeowners must obtain a tree permit.  A tree permit is only valid for Ten (10) days.

  • Permits must be posted and visible from the street.

  • Oak trees in Hollywood Park are protected in the code of ordinances.  The permit assures that the tree trimming company is aware of practices to help prevent the spread of  Oak wilt.

  • Oak trees can ONLY be Trimmed from July 1st through January 31st.

  • All equipment used for tree trimming must be properly disinfected before use.

  • All cuts must be painted immediately but absolutely no later than 30 minutes of making the cut (paint all cuts before moving from one tree to the next).

  • All brush must be hauled away by the tree trimming company.

According to Hollywood Park Chapter 72 Code of Ordinances, Ordinace #943

  • Pruning allowed only from July 1st to January 31st.
  • Pruning NOT allowed from February 1st to June 30th.
  • Pruning is removing live branches,removing dead branchs and removing ball moss.
  • Always paint pruning cuts and wound within 30 minutes of each cut.
  • Permit required year round for tree pruning in Hollywood Park.
  • Place Pruning permit on front door or window visible from the street.
  • Permit good for 10 Days.
  • If you are a vendor you must get a permit to trim a residents tree yourself. The Resident CANNOT get the permit for you. Permits available at City Hall, Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
