Hollywood Park Fire Department personnel A Tradition of Service Since 1955

The Hollywood Park Fire Department is an all-hazards emergency response organization dedicated to protecting life, property, and the well-being of our community. This section provides a snapshot of the department’s capabilities, history, and the level of service provided to the residents and businesses of Hollywood Park.

Founded in 1955, the department has grown alongside the community it serves, evolving from its early beginnings into a modern, highly capable emergency services provider. Today, the department responds to approximately 800 calls for service annually, including fire suppression, emergency medical incidents, rescue operations, and public service calls.

As an all-hazards department, Hollywood Park Fire Department is equipped to respond to a wide range of emergencies. Our fleet includes a 2010 Pierce Velocity fire engine and a 2022 Pierce Velocity 100-foot mid-mount platform, supported by specialized vehicles such as a 2017 Ford command unit equipped for emergency response operations and a 2016 Ford medium-duty brush truck designed for wildland and grass fire incidents.

Personnel are trained and equipped to handle vehicle extrication, technical rescue, swift water rescue operations, and hazmat incidents and ensuring preparedness for both routine and complex incidents. The department operates advanced medical equipment, including multiple cardiac monitors, and maintains a workforce where the majority of personnel are paramedic certified.

Beyond emergency response, the department is deeply engaged in community service. Each year, firefighters deliver holiday gifts to over 300 children during seasonal outreach programs and conduct biannual inspections of every fire hydrant within the town to ensure system readiness. These efforts reflect the department’s commitment to proactive safety and strong community relationships.
