Hollywood Park ISO Classification: Class

The Hollywood Park Fire Department continues to work toward providing the highest level of fire protection service possible through training, response readiness, equipment maintenance, prevention efforts, and coordination with community partners.

The Insurance Services Office (ISO) evaluates fire protection capabilities in communities and assigns a Public Protection Classification (PPC). This classification helps insurance providers assess municipal fire protection resources and may play a role in determining property insurance considerations.

ISO reviews multiple factors related to community fire protection, including emergency communications, fire department capabilities, water supply, and community risk reduction efforts.

What ISO Means

The ISO Public Protection Classification program rates communities on a scale intended to reflect the effectiveness of local fire protection services. In general, a lower class number represents a stronger fire protection classification.

These ratings are based on nationally recognized criteria and help measure community fire suppression capabilities, emergency communications, water supply, and related support systems.

Note: Questions about how an ISO classification may affect a specific insurance policy should be directed to your insurance carrier or agent.

How the Rating Is Supported

  • Emergency response readiness
  • Training and personnel development
  • Apparatus and equipment maintenance
  • Reliable water supply and hydrant access
  • Fire prevention, inspections, and public education
  • Emergency communications and dispatch support
