From Mayor Ortega:
“The holiday season is upon us and it seems that everyone is taking advantage of the opportunity to market for your Christmas generosity, including door-to-door solicitors. As a reminder, IT IS ILLEGAL for any solicitor or canvasser to enter the property of a private residence in Hollywood Park, unless invited to do so by the owner.
As you read in Chief Prichard’s recent newsletter, the town’s police force has increased its drive to deter all criminal activity, including solicitors. This task is made easier when residents notify the police of suspected illegal activity. If you are approached by a solicitor or canvasser, please immediately report the event to the Police Administrative Assistant, Gena Phelan, at (210)494-2023, ext. 235″.
