 Chief of Police Shad Prichard


Chief Prichard hails from west Texas, mainly the Odessa/Midland area.  Chief Prichard joined the military in 1997 and was accepted in the Military Intelligence Corps as a Counterintelligence (CI) Special Agent.   His last assignment brought him to San Antonio where he was the security manager for a signals and intelligence site who provided support to the National Security Agency (NSA) and joint operations around the world.

After his military service Chief Prichard continued his law enforcement career and has an served in some of the most challenging assignments to include command of criminal investigations, court security, patrol, training, civil process and warrant service.

Along with his law enforcement and military experience Chief Prichard holds a degree in criminal justice and is pursuing a degree in public administration.   Chief Prichard holds a Master Peace Officer Certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement and is also the recipient of the VFW Law Enforcement Gold Medal Award for the state of Texas and Academic Achievement Recognition from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

Chief Prichard has also held numerous leadership positions in the community to include being a board member of the Salvation Army and past Vice-Commander of VFW Post 688.

Chief Prichard is married to his wife Amy and together they have two daughters.
